Thank you to the GLBUA umpires who volunteered to work in the City of Lawrence Baseball Classic on the 4th of July at South Lawrence East School.
We were able to send 4 umpires to the Little League All Star game, as well as 4 umpires to the Babe Ruth All Star game.
In the true spirit of the national holiday, our umpires wore the red, white, and blue shirts and looked pretty sharp!
The 4 umpires in the LL game were (L-R): Dan Duffy, Tom Torrisi, Oscar Wright, and JJ Rivera.
The 4 umpires who worked the big diamond game were (L-R): Steve Scammon, Dave Bamford, Ralph Marasa, and Mike Pilla.
In return for the services of the GLBUA in this event, the association received free rental of Mt Vernon Park back in April for a tremendous clinic run by Tom Clarke.
Thanks again to everyone for making both events a success.

Bay
State Games Volunteers
To: Greater Lawrence Baseball Umpires
I would like to thank Jack Gilhooly, Fred Simm,
Dave Reilly, and Dan Clark.
These four umpires from the GLBUA volunteered their time
at the Bay State games on Tuesday July 7th, held at Bentley
College in Waltham. We had a great day as well, and I would
do it again. We had 2 great fun-filled action games. It
is always rewarding to be able to give back in any way one
can, and in these unstable times, what better way than to
give your time?
